What started as a childhood hobby for James Fredrick, turned into a million dollar collection when he got older. It all started when he went with his parents to go to yard sales and bought a couple of vintage movie posters for a few dollars.
Over the years James would buy more and more vintage movie posters with the extra cash he had; he even later set up a budget so he could expand his collection. Some of his family and friends thought that his obsession was crazy, until they heard that he was planning to auction off a few. After the auction he had made well over ten thousand dollars on just one duplicate he had in his collection.
This duplicate was not even one of the most valuable vintage movie posters he owned. After that, many people James knew would ask him about how he got started collecting vintage movie posters and how they could do it also. He has always said the same thing to anyone wanting to start any type of collection. “Just buy what you like and do not spend a lot of time thinking about how much something will be worth in the future.”
